Disgruntled
I realized today that with absolute certainty that I am a disgruntled person. People who act obnoxious, stupid, hasty, and without due consideration immediately incite me to not take their case to heart and help them to the best of my ability. (In layman’s terms, they piss me off.)
This is true both at work, and with the “hobby” I have. I’ve also decided it is a personal attitude that causes it, not necessarily the flaws in these people. I can, and have, overcome similar situations before and can do it at any moment in which my attitude changes.
I wish to make it a permanent attitude change.
With all that said, I’d still love to leave on the note that I am still a disgruntled person. Here is an email I sent to someone who purchased an item, and although it is only 7 days later and he has not received it, has been relentless in annoying me. I feel this is the finest piece of writing that I have crafted in some time.
Stop sending me this barrage of invoices demanding that I pay you an amount that you are justly due. I apologize that your goods have not arrived, and I do intend to make it right. However, your tone and inflection do not make me want to proceed with any haste.
I was hoping the item would arrive as you were getting so anxious. It seems that is not the case. I will refund the amount you paid, with the expectation that should the item make its way to your door, that I would be notified.
Thank you.
Jeff
